Sam

Samuel was a Court Appointed Special Advocate (C.A.S.A.) in the Juvenile Court of Mahoning County (Youngstown), Ohio. So was I. We were volunteers, well trained to advocate in juvenile court for the well-being of abused and neglected children. This was difficult work. It required time, stamina and determination … a ministry like no other ministry I’ve ever had. One day, after a difficult trial, Sam and I stood in the parking lot. I asked Sam about his own children. Sam said, “They’re OK. They’re all well.” We both had the same thought as Sam added, “Thank God.”
