Earl
Earl needed a hand fixing his garage door so that Saturday morning I met him at the hardware store. We were cashing out when a woman came to the register. She looked frazzled. She asked no one in particular, “What do I need to keep the rain out of my living room? Tree branch fell. Now it’s stuck clean through my roof.” I knew right then what Earl was going to do. We stopped by his house for a chainsaw and a ladder. By sundown, her roof was patched and that tree limb was firewood. I always learn from Earl.
